Last night we went to dinner in town at a Michelin rated restaurant . It was pretty great because the boys stayed back and went to the water slides in the campground instead. They had a blast they said the slides blew away our water parks at home and for a fraction of the price. I paid 4.50 € for each kid to enjoy three hours of rip roaring wet fun. Meanwhile we went to this cozy little place for dinner that was truly amazing. Right from the moment we walked through the door and entered the quaint place and were greeted by the charming host with his adorable accent and candles were glowing I knew this was going to be a great date night. This indeed was true. We decided to go for the surprise menu. Three courses chef chooses. We actually had the privilege of meeting chef and owner Mila. She is from this cozy little town an has owned the place for fifteen years. And wow is he good!
First course , raw tuna fresh and buttery and perfect served with some sort of light lemony sauce, topped with arugula and fresh herbs. Oi oi ou !!! Perfection.
Next scallop and halibut with truffle and some sort of green that our waiter explained grows by the sea so taste like the sea. Beautiful.
Third course slivers of of local piggies with a rare mushroom sauce on top of fresh peas. Very nice.
Fourth and definitely not last ,finally my husband is starting to unwind and I was able to stare at him all night and there was no phone to interrupt us.
I highly highly recommend both this location and definitely a visit to this restaurant. The web sight for the place is

the mobile are clean yet simple. Mildly cheesy with fake frogs everywhere but who really cares? The money you save staying there affords you a nice meal out. There is no shortage of entertainment at the park for kids to say the least. I would recommend 5-7 nights here easily. We have only four and its not enough. On a side note, when you jolly green giants for kids and your staying in a trailer, they may rock the entire mobile just moving about at night. Could be a sleep challenge.

ReplyDeleteI think the tulips were just finished for the season. Usually by this time of year all the petals have fallen off. But I like the idea of birds with full bellies :-) ***Angel and the Bits
